McAuley art teacher Mrs. Kathy Gordon Davis, who is known to many businesses, schools, and individuals as an esteemed artist in the Chicago-land area, once again is offering Art Camp – a favorite experience among many young students! The camp encompasses two weeks of fun, creativity, and adventures in art. Through a variety of practice activities, individualized instruction, and creative projects, campers will develop drawing, painting, and sculpting skills and techniques.

Campers will foster their creative writing talents through a variety of writing workshop opportunities and word-play games. From paper and pencil compositions to mixed media platforms, we will explore journaling, poetry, short stories, comics, and more! Each camper will receive a keepsake journal and have access to supplies that will encourage creative self-expression.

This summer, golf campers can expect to learn some of the basics of golf including club grip, swing techniques, and proper club selection all according to their skill and age level. More experienced golfers will practice specialized putting skills and chipping and targeting techniques. Both camps include prizes and contests to help participants develop and improve their golf skills.

Stony Creek - Oak Lawn

Collectively, the coaches bring diverse experience to the team including Division I playing experience and lacrosse coaching experience. During camp, participants will learn the rules of the game, practice and refine playing skills, and compete together through contests and team games.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn about what goes into putting a story together for the news, and will also get to play around with some of the equipment we have (green screen, microphones, etc) and even put together some on the go reports around the school.

This enrichment camp has hands-on, project based sessions that give girls the opportunity to explore in a creative environment and look at things in a new way. Each day will have a different theme with sessions in art, music, theater, creative writing, technology, science and cooking. The goal of our enthusiastic faculty and camp counselors is to make learning and problem-solving fun!

McAuley alumna Kelly Malone returns for her 10th year coaching the Mighty Mac Cross Country Team. As a former standout runner, Coach Malone continues to instruct, challenge, and motivate runners to reach their potential. At camp, girls will learn middle to long distance running (0.5 - 3 miles), how to warm up and cool down properly, and proper hydration and nutrition.

Stage Crew camp gives students 6th-9th grade the opportunity to learn set and prop construction, scene painting and stage makeup techniques and a glimpse into lighting and sound design. Students will assist in the construction of the stage for the Curtain Call Camp show.

Campers will have the opportunity to explore various scientific fields, from biology and chemistry to engineering and everything in between!  We will apply the STEM skills of problem solving and inquiry based learning by investigating real world scenarios.

Strings Camp is an opportunity for String players of all levels of experience to be part of a fun and engaging orchestra!  Beginners will enjoy the excitement of starting a new instrument while experienced players will develop leadership. Violins, Violas, Cellos, and Basses are supplied to those who do not own a personal instrument free of charge. This is a great introduction to the Strings family of instruments!

The Mighty Mac Volleyball program is led by Head Coach Jen DeJarld, who through 18 seasons as head coach has led the program to 8 state tournament appearances.  As a former Mighty Mac Volleyball player herself, Coach DeJarld won two state titles and went on to play at the collegiate level at University of Iowa. Coach DeJarld and staff have designed McAuley volleyball camp to provide campers of all ability levels a rewarding and enjoyable experience.  Campers will receive training in fundamentals, tactics, and technique in all skills in a challenging and fun atmosphere.
