Summer Camp Description:
Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM Location: FAC Campus, auxiliary gym
This summer camp is for students planning to attend Rich Township in 2024. Held at the FAC Campus auxiliary gym, the camp runs from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. Our Introduction to Wrestling Summer Camp is perfect for kids trying the "world's oldest sport" for the first time and for those looking to strengthen their fundamental techniques. Alongside learning rules, scoring, and an overview of wrestling, campers will practice basic positions and techniques. Whether a novice or experienced wrestler, mastering fundamental positioning and techniques is key for developing a strong core skill set at any age. We'll also include wrestling-related games and team bonding to ensure a competitive and collaborative experience for all. By the camp's end, participants should have a solid grasp of wrestling fundamentals and a head start for the upcoming winter season.
Summer League Description:
Date: Tuesdays Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (departure from FAC campus at 5:30 PM) Location: Oak Forest/TBD
This summer league is for students planning to attend Rich Township in 2024. Campers will either travel with Rich Township on the mini bus or meet the team at the designated host school each Tuesday night. The mini bus departs from the FAC campus at approximately 5:30 PM (DO NOT BE LATE) and returns at approximately 7:30 PM. If meeting the team at the host school, please arrive by 6:00 PM. The summer league is a collaborative effort among multiple high schools in nearby communities and across Illinois. Each Tuesday night, a host school will open its doors to wrestlers from several high schools. Athletes will be grouped based on skill level (JV or Varsity) and have the chance to wrestle in three or more "practice matches." This allows wrestlers to test their skills from the summer camp in a competitive setting. Over the summer, wrestlers will have a total of 20-30 matches, helping them refine their style and skills for the upcoming season.

Participating in Summer Cheer Camp is an excellent instructional opportunity for the athlete to improve in all areas of cheerleading and advance their skill level in preparation for competitive play. They will also develop discipline and the practice skills necessary for the season. While attending summer camp does not ensure or guarantee a spot on the team, daily attendance is mandatory for your athlete to continue on to the fall season. Camp itself is free of charge; however, there will be fees associated with the camp. Those fees include: appropriate camp wear, offsite skills camps and gymnastics. We will meet 3 days a week (Tues, Weds, Thurs) for 3.5 hours at the FAC Campus.
PLEASE NOTE:
Athletes should be in possession of a physical by June 13th in order to continue participating. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors should have their sports physical, while incoming Freshmen should have their school physical. This also ensures that the athlete will be in compliance with school policy prior to the start of school.
