Roy Ramos

Roy Ramos is heading into his 2nd year as a head coach! He comes to West Chicago from Roosevelt University where he served as the Associate Head Coach from 2014-2021 and Interim Head Coach from 2021-2022. He was also an Assistant Coach at St. Joseph High School from 2012-2014 and Illinois Tech from 2014-2017.

Yassine Yakhoub

Yassine Yakhoub is serving as the interim head coach. He's a WeGo graduate and West Chicago resident . He knows the program very well as he began his academic and running career as a junior at West Chicago High School and continued competing at the College of DuPage, where he qualified for the NJCAA nationals. He’s going into Fifth year coaching at West Chicago High School, one year as a volunteer coach and the other four as an assistant coach. Eight years of this sport as both an athlete and coach, cross country has been a major part of his life, coach Yassine brings his passion and experience to his athletes every day. He is graduating this May from Northern Illinois University and looks forward to starting his first year as a social studies teacher.

WEST CHICAGO COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL - STADIUM

Jose Villa

Jose Villa is beginning his 14th year as Head Coach of the boys soccer program. He is a 2006 graduate of WCCHS and went to College of DuPage his freshmen year where he played on the Men's soccer team and that year they finished in 3rd place at the National Tournament. After his freshmen year, he transferred to Olivet Nazarene University where he played for 3 years and captained the team his Senior year. Jose graduated from ONU in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. He is currently a 6th grade teacher at Leman Middle School in West Chicago. He and his wife Leny live in West Chicago with their 3 children D'Alessandro (9), Athalia (8) and Ezra (5).

Regina Pauli

Regina Pauli is in her 8th year as the head coach for the boy’s volleyball program at West Chicago. She has previously coached boys at the JV level at West Chicago High School for 5 years starting in 2008. She has also coached girls JV volleyball at West Chicago High School during 2007-2013 and in 2017-2019, as well as the varsity girl's assistant for 2020-2021. Coach Pauli is in her seventeenth year teaching special education and her fifteenth year at WEGO. Coach Pauli was a 4-year varsity setter at Amos Alanzo Stagg High School and was a 4-year varsity setter/libero during her volleyball career at Elmhurst College.

Beth Trimble

Beth Trimble is in her 9th year as the head coach of the West Chicago Varsity cheer team. Beth was the director for 5 years of the West Chicago Youth Cheerleading program. She received her BS from Arizona State University and her law degree from John Marshall Law School. She currently runs her own law practice. Beth has been involved in the local community since moving to West Chicago 20 years ago. She is honored that the High School has given her the opportunity to work with the cheer team and is confident that the program will continue to grow.

Mackenzie Bell

Coach Bell is entering her 3rd season as the head coach of the girls volleyball program. Mackenzie began competitively playing volleyball at the age of 8 years old, and went on to be a 3-year varsity player at Glenbard East High School. She then continued her athletic career at Roosevelt University (Chicago, IL) where she was a 4-year starter while earning her degree in Special Education. In 2017, Mackenzie began coaching at New Wave Volleyball Club (Darien, IL) and has served as a lead coach in the organization for the past two years. She now serves as West Chicago's as Head Girls Volleyball coach in addition to teaching special education.

Coach Chavez is beginning his 4th year as head football coach at West Chicago Community High School. For 23 years, Chavez has been coaching high school football in the four states of Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Nevada. He received his undergraduate degree from Elmhurst University and his master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fl.

Emily Brown

Emily Brown is entering her 4rd year as head coach of the badminton program after previously coached four years at the JV level. Coach Brown graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School where she played on the badminton team. She competed in the IHSA State Badminton competition as a doubles team in 2013. She graduated from Wheaton College in 2017 and currently works as an ESL and Spanish teacher.

Mark Fitzgerald

Head Coach, Mark Fitzgerald's is entering his 35th year of coaching overall and his 5th at West Chicago, he has seen success in coaching both boys and girls. In 2003, Fitzgerald began coaching sophomore boys at St. Francis High School in Wheaton, IL where his teams won 4 SCC Conference Championships in 6 years. In his ten years at Aurora Central Catholic, his teams won 148 games making Fitzgerald the winningest Coach in ACC Girls Basketball 45 year history. The 2011-12 team set the program record for most wins in a season and with their 4th place finish at the 2A State tournament they became the first girls’ team in Aurora and School history to go downstate. In 2012, Fitzgerald was awarded the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) 1A/2A District Coach of the Year Award. Coach Fitzgerald and his wife of 40 years live in Winfield and proud to be Wildcats.

Cassie Anderson

Cassie has been with the We-Go Girls XC program for 7 years. She spent three years as a volunteer coach and one year as the assistant coach. This is her second year as the head coach. Cross country has been part of her life for 18 years. She started competing in cross country at Glenbard West High School. She continued in college and ran for Illinois Wesleyan University. In college she was a captain and a member of the first team in IWU history to qualify for Nationals. Cassie is a bilingual third grade teacher in St. Charles and starting her 10th year of teaching!

WEST CHICAGO COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL - STADIUM

Cesar Gomez

Cesar Gomez is at the helm of the Girls Varsity Soccer program at West Chicago for his 19th year, 21 years overall. Coach Cesar is also an Assistant Coach of the Wheaton College Women’s Soccer Team. Coach Gomez has seen recent success with his other coaching position at Wheaton College, winning three Division III College National Championships in women’s soccer. He has over 30 seasons of coaching experience and a lifetime of playing soccer in his native Paraguay, South America. Coach relies on his fundamental philosophy of teaching the game of soccer and instilling the discipline necessary to play the game. Some of the soccer characteristics coach feels important to stress while teaching his athletes are: understanding the rules and physical conditioning, work ethic, and the ability to improvise. Cesar and his wife Lisa reside in Winfield. His son Julio and daughter Lena have blessed him with two granddaughters. Coach is proud to say his wife Lisa and both of his children are Community High School graduates.

Softball Field (Pioneer Park)

Hollie Donovan

Hollie Donovan has been teaching Social Studies (World Geography and History) at West Chicago for three years. She grew up in West Chicago and now lives in Geneva. Donovan played third base, catcher, and outfield during her high school career for the Wildcats. She loves this community and continues to be a Wildcat through and through. Donovan also coaches volleyball at the high school level and enjoys seeing multi-sport athletes thrive in both programs. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and soaking in the summer sun.

Due to head coach Dieter being on maternity leave, varsity assistant coach Donovan will be stepping in to run the summer camp. Both coaches are very excited about the future of the program and are looking forward to the summer camp.
